Moses Bangura, famous scientist from science forum Africa, has discovered a civilian drone system for removing diseases from Africa. The country is presently suffering from various diseases and Ebola is the latest threat. Not just Africa, these viruses are threats for the whole world. This is why forum for science Africa has taken the initiative to make the continent free of various diseases that it is rightly facing.

Bangura is hopeful that his initiative will make significant contribution to the mankind. Not just Africa, the whole world will be benefitted from this. In the forum for science Africa, he stated that the newly developed drone is robust and reliable. It comes with an open source system that can be developed or customized by anyone. He also mentioned in Africa science forum that this drone can help managing the Ebola crisis of Africa.

Just ahead of World Woman’s Day, Africa science forum has made a significant announcement for the safety of women in the continent. Women safety has always been the gravest concern for the continent, and now a glam of light can be seen with this major invention. Software Engineering, Arreytambe Tabot from Cameroon, has invented this safety wristband for women, and the invention has been featured on science forum South Africa.

According to Tabot, the wristband is invented to ensure safety for the rural women in Africa. Those, who are illiterate, will get the major benefits of it. On the science forum Africa, he also said that the estimated price of this device will be $1.50. It uses radio frequency identification technology. It does not require any behavioral changes from the users. Major highlights about the wristband are:

  • Low cost wristband for women safety
  • Mainly targeted for rural women safety
  • Minimal training required for operating

Houses from Plastic Waste

At science forum South Africa, another major announcement has been made and that is building houses through plastic wastes. Well, this is a significant invention not just for the continent but for the whole world. Moussa Thiam, from Mali, is the inventor of this technology. He is presently studying in Canada University, Ottawa, concluding his PHD. In past he had experience to work with plastic wastes.

From his past experiences, he finds interest to research on plastic wastes for the benefits of human beings. He is hopeful that with his invention, a large section of people of his own country and West Africa will be benefitted.
