DIVINE STRATEGY FOR WINNING THE BATTLES OF LIFE

Winning the battles of life require spiritual strategy, methods and wisdom of God. Many Christians do not believe that even living a life to please God is a battle. In other words, in every battle there are strategies for wining in other not to suffer defeat. In, 1 Sam 30:8, David inquired of the Lord, in other to know what particular strategy he needed to carry out the operation that will help him to overtake, takeover  and recover that which was stolen by the Amalekites. The key to recovering all that the enemy has stolen from you is to inquire of the Lord. God intends that you will win in all the battles of life, but the strategies for warfare can only be gotten if you inquire of The Lord. What is a strategy? It is a plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim or the art of planning and directing overall military operations and movements in a war or battle. What is divine strategy? Divine strategy is that strategy that cannot be understood nor comprehended by the human mind. What is operation? It is a series of functions and tasks that are involved in a single process. What does it mean to Overtake? It is to go past something by been ahead or to catch up with and pass by.

  1. Depending on Human Strategy for Winning Battles of Life (Isaiah 31:1-3, Psalm 20:6-8)

Human strategy is powered by natural senses and arm of the flesh. The differences are that;

a). Human strategy does not see far and cannot go far (1 Sam 13:1-13 Isaiah 31:1-3. ) while  Divine Strategy goes beyond the human eyes. it sees far and deep

b). Human strategy is based on human calculation and projection (1 Sam 13:1-13), while Divine Strategy is based on certainty (Gen 30:25-43, when Jacob cut fresh branches for the animals to eat to produce sparkle and spotted animals as his wages from Leban his uncle)

c). Human strategy may (probability) win a battle but cannot win the war (Psalm 20:6-8) while Divine Strategy wins both the battle and the war (Prov 21:31)

d). Human strategy reacts according to the situation as it presents itself (Num 20:8-11), while Divine Strategy does not react nor take steps according the situation as it presents itself. (2 kings 3:17-19)

Divine strategy is not cheap and does not come easy but wins both the battles and war.

a). You must learn to inquire of The Lord at all times , to know the best move to make(1 Sam 30:8)

b). Understand your position, place and authority in Christ (Luke 10:19-20, Eph 2:1-10), until you understand your authority in Christ, you cannot overcome the challenges of life.

b). Never remain on the seat of defeat but arise and be victorious (1 Sam 30:1-6, 16-20)

c). You must engage the power of prayers and fasting by being in constant communication with God Almighty(1 Sam 30:8, Matt 17:21, 2Chron 20:3-12)

It takes wisdom to put divine strategy to work- doing what is required to acquire what is desired.

a). Activate power of warfare praise for God’s manifest presence (2 Chron 20:20-22, Acts 16:25)

b). Cultivate the habit of the Word confession and the act of obeying prophetic divine instructions (Heb 4:12, 1 Sam 17:45-47, 2 Chron20:20)

c). Sow a sacrificial battle seed (Gen 8:22, Psalm 126:5-6, Gal 6:7, 2 kings 3:26-27)

d). Put your angels to work in every area of life (Heb 1:14, 12:22, Psalm 34:7, 91:11)

  1. Rules of Engagement for Winning Battles of Life (1 Sam 30:1-20)

a). Pay attention to details and be sensitive to subtle distraction (1 Sam 30:1-12)

b). Refuse to be terrified by neither the adversary nor its antics (1 Sam 30:3-7, 1 Pet 5:8)

c).Be in partnership with The Lord in every step of the way (Joshua 5:13-15, Exo33:14-16)

d). Conquer your fears and worries (1 John 4:18, Phil 4:6-7, Isaiah 41:10)

e). Inquire always of The Lord to order and direct your steps and your stops(1 Sam 30:8,2 Sam 5:22 -24)

f).Constantly put on the whole armour of God (Eph 6:11-18; 2Cor 10:4-6)

g). Be bold and courageous because you know who has got your back(2 Chron 20:17, Psalm 46:1-11)

h). Ability to identify who the real enemy is (2 Cor 10:4-6)

a). Divine restoration and recovery of that which was stolen ( 1 Sam 30:18-19)

b). Living the victorious lifestyle (1Cor 15:57)

c). So much to share with others from the spoils of war (1 Sam 30:21-25, 2 Kings 7:9-11)

 

CONCLUSION

Never run away from the face of a battle, is the very reason why there is no covering of the back when the armour is worn. Eph 6:11-18.Therefore, face the battles of today for a victorious tomorrow. It is said,”he who runs from a battle today will live to fight it tomorrow”.
